Automate SEO with MCP (and coding agents)

Automate SEO with an agent by giving it hosted MCP tools, not a scraping stack. Fig is the data plane. You still approve sign-in and Checkout. The agent still does not get ranking guarantees.

Not talent-agent SEO

Agent SEO and SEO agent on Fig mean a coding or chat agent (Cursor, Claude, Grok, Codex) researching a brand site with Fig MCP. This is not SEO for talent agents, sports agents, or real-estate agents.

1. Install

Copy the setup prompt into your agent. It connects Fig and installs the router plus focused audit, research, content, and validation skills. Connecting tools without those skills is incomplete.

2. Check balance, then gather

  • balance — remaining USD.
  • research_domain — what the site already appears for.
  • suggest_keywords — ideas from the strongest terms.
  • get_keyword_metrics — volume and intent on a short list.
  • get_serp — SERP API-style snapshot — and compare_serp_competitors.

3. Act off-platform

Fig returns data. The agent should produce a brief: target URL, title, outline, internal links. A human or coding agent publishes the change. Fig does not log into your CMS.

4. Recheck and top up

After the change has had time to be crawled, rerun the same get_serp calls. If remaining USD cannot cover the next lookup, create_checkout (default $20, minimum $10). You approve the short figaeo.com/pay link.

Fig is prepaid credit, not a monthly seat. Checkout starts at $10; a $20 pack is the recommended default. Your agent spends the balance on live lookups, then asks you to approve Checkout again when remaining USD cannot cover the next call.

Fig does not guarantee rankings, citations, or traffic. It returns research data your agent can call. Humans approve sign-in and Checkout. The agent (or you) decides what to change on the site.
