Fig vs Ahrefs
Ahrefs is a full SEO platform with its own index, dashboards, rank tracking, and (on paid plans) API and MCP access. Fig is research data your agent can call, billed as prepaid operations. Keep Ahrefs when you need the suite; pick Fig when you want focused lookups without another monthly seat.

Typical pricing (public list ranges)
Competitor prices below are typical public list ranges as of September 2026. Plans, seats, and add-ons change. Confirm on the vendor’s pricing page before you buy.
Ahrefs typically sells monthly subscriptions. On Ahrefs’ pricing page, Starter is listed around $29/mo, Lite around $129/mo, Standard around $249/mo, Advanced around $449/mo, and Enterprise around $1,499/mo with an annual commitment. Extra seats are add-ons (publicly listed around $40–$80/mo on the core suites). Brand Radar and other kits are separate.
Fig has no monthly plan. Minimum Checkout is $10. The recommended pack is $20. Tax is added at Checkout.
Ranges, not a quote. Ahrefs also offers Ahrefs Free for verified sites you own.

Honest overlap
Ahrefs now lists MCP server access on paid suites. If your team already pays for Ahrefs and wants that data inside an agent, you may not need Fig.
Fig does not replace Site Explorer depth, historical rank tracking, site crawls, or Content Explorer. It returns compact live lookups so an agent can research, suggest edits, and recheck — it does not edit your site.
Keep Ahrefs if
- You need a shared dashboard, scheduled rank tracking, or site-audit crawls for a team.
- You already buy Ahrefs data and want its MCP/API inside that subscription.
- You rely on Ahrefs’ backlink index and historical views as the source of truth.
Pick Fig if
- A brand owner or coding agent needs SEO/AEO data in chat without a new monthly seat.
- You want a $10–$20 prepaid pack for a focused pass, not Lite/Standard list prices every month.
- You prefer one router and five specialist playbooks over a suite of hundreds of tools.
Credits, not a seat
Fig is prepaid credit, not a monthly seat. Checkout starts at $10; a $20 pack is the recommended default. Your agent spends the balance on live lookups, then asks you to approve Checkout again when remaining USD cannot cover the next call.
Fig does not guarantee rankings, citations, or traffic. It returns research data your agent can call. Humans approve sign-in and Checkout. The agent (or you) decides what to change on the site.
